Sohrabi laid emphasis on the expansion of all-out ties between Tehran and Doha and materialization of the agreements held in their joint commission meetings.
The diplomat also mentioned that the Iranian embassy in Doha has employed an attaché on energy affairs to help promote the two countries' relations.
Sohrabi reiterated that Tehran is seeking to bolster ties with Qatar, saying that several Iranian officials, including First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi, First Lady Parvin Ahmadinejad and Vice President for Environmental Affairs Mohammad Javad Mohammadi-zadeh, have extended separate invitations to their Qatari counterparts to pay officials visits to the Islamic Republic.
He also stated that Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani would soon pay a visit to Tehran in the same regard.
"The visit will take place in the near future," Sohrabi said, adding that the Qatari crown prince will head a high-ranking delegation in his visit to Tehran.
The ambassador further noted that Sheikh Tamim has been assigned by Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani to develop relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and hailed the move as a milestone in the bilateral ties of the two Muslim nations.
