Iran official in Tajikistan for energy talks
Iran’s Deputy Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian met Friday evening with Tajik Minister of Finance Safarali Najmuddinov and discussed with him the Sangtuda 2 power plant project being implemented in the country, it is reported on Saturday.
Chitchian, heading an Iranian delegation, has traveled to Tajikistan late on Thursday to pay a two-day visit to the country to inspect the process of implementation of the Sangtuda 2 power plant that has been constructed in Tajikistan by the Iranian company of Sangab. 
The Tajik minister said in the meeting that his country attaches great importance to the project which is planned to be inaugurated in two years' time. 
The project will solve many problems of Tajik people in generating electricity and providing energy in cold seasons.
