Iranian, Chinese economy ministers ask for broader relations
Iran’s Economy and Treasure Minister Shamseddin Hosseini who is visiting China along with IRI First Vice President Mohammad-Reza Rahimi here Wednesday evening met his Chinese counterpart Xie Xuern.

According to IRNA correspondent in Beijing, during the meeting Hosseini referred to the existing potentials in two countries’ relations, reiterating, “Acceleration of implementing the general policies of the Constitutional Article 44 (on privatization) and transferring the shares of institutes and organs to the private sector in Iran has provided an opportunity for the two countries’ economic officials to define new fields for the expansion of bilateral relations in various fields.”
He meanwhile asked for cooperation between the Iranian and Chinese economy ministries aimed at elimination of more obstacles in the way of bilateral relations between respective sectors, where it is related to them.
Xie Xuern, too, during the meeting expressing delight over being the host of the Iranian delegation, reiterated, “The Chinese Economy Ministry is ready for applying appropriate means at its disposal aimed at assisting the Iranian and the Chinese companies to play more effective roles in boosting bilateral relations.”
Xuern who was last week elected as the best Asian economy minister of the year 2009, expressed hope that continuous consultations between the two countries top officials would continue in the future and Hosseini said that he was quite agreed with him on the point.
