As reported by the Department of Public Relations, Organization for Investment, Economic and technical Assistance of Iran, quoting from IRNA, Abolfazl Koudeie, talking to the reporters on Saturday, said: the center will revive aiming at facilitating the procedures relevant to issuance of licenses for the foreign investors as well as providing advisory services to them.
Based on him, for speeding up the affairs, the liaison representatives from relevant executive agencies including: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Central Bank of the Islamic republic of Iran, Customs Administration, the State Organization for Tax Affairs, the General Directorate for Registration of Companies, Industrial Ownership Organization, Iran Department of Environment, Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran and Police have been stationed at the Center.
He said that the liaison representatives are stationed at the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, adding: the representatives are delegated by the nomination letter issued by the first rank authority at the departments. Saying that the liaison representatives are fully authorized by their departments, added: the details of the activities of the center has been explained in the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Act (FIPPA) and its Implementing Regulations.
The head of the Center for Foreign Investment Services saying that the Center was established in 2003-4 and the liaison representatives of some departments were stationed for a period of time, added: although the issue of the representatives to be fully authorized posed some problems in the past, it is now well settled.
The head of the Center said: regarding the tight schedule, the center will be more active in future, in other words restarts its activities.
Based on Koudeie, in the past there were only deputies of some departments stationed at the Center for providing services and consultation, but now there is a range, through which the foreign investor, once entering the Center, enjoys consultation and services of the Center, including issuance of the necessary licenses.
He noted: evaluation and appraisal of the foreign investor’s projects shall be made in the Center and the presence of liaison representatives of the departments at the Center streamlines and facilitates the procedure.
At the end Koudeie stipulated: in the current form, instead of going to different departments for obtaining the licenses, the client can refer just to one of these centers, where the representatives of the departments are present, and do his job.
