Iran's Electricity Exports on Rise
The Islamic Republic of Iran's electricity exports to neighboring countries increased in the current year.
During the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March-December 2010), Iran has exported 4,918 GWh to its neighboring countries.
The figure shows 6 percent growth over same period last year.
Iran has also imported 2,503 Gwh of electricity from its neighboring countries increasing 46.41 percent compared with the same period last year.
Iran annually exchanges electricity with its neighboring countries including Turkey, Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan, Iraq and Afghanistan.
