Iran, Armenia to Boost Ties in Energy Sector
Iranian and Armenian officials reviewed ways of transferring oil products from the Islamic Republic of the Central Asian country.
At a meeting held between an Iranian delegation headed by oil deputy minister, Ali Reza Zeyghami, and Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan, the two sides discussed continuation of natural gas and electricity barter and establishment of gasoline and gas oil transferring pipeline between the two countries.
Iran and Armenia tend to establish a 365-km pipeline from Tabriz to Yerevan to transfer oil products from the Islamic Republic to the Central Asian country. The pipeline will go on stream since 2014.
